- RSHUT Server keeps IP-addresses and MAC-addresses of all RSHUT clients and servers over a network it had contacted before. First time you install and run RSHUT in your network there is no that info yet. Because of this RSHUT server sends broadcast packets over the network to request appropriate addresses from the computers RSHUT clients and servers installed on the network.
- You can automate installation of RSHUT Pro on client workstations. Extract setup files and setup first time as a client. After installation note that in the directory appeared file "registry.dup". Now, if you'll copy this setup directory along with this file to another workstation and will run "setup.exe /zak" it will use the same options as you have selected first and will install in non-interactive mode. Also, look at "zak.ini" file in zip-package - here you can find how you can configure miscellaneous installation settings.
- You can simply translate RSHUT into your language. For the details look on the sample localization file '409.ini' under the subdirectory 'LangPack'. If you have done localization please send us a copy, we probably will include it to the standard RSHUT distribution. Or contact us if you have decided make translation and we will provide you with all instructions.
- RSHUT uses 5005 UDP port to communicate between server and clients. It may be needed to open this port if your network is protected with a firewall.
