Generators let you automate the RTGS3 sliders using a variety of random or generative algorithms.
Turn on Generator by activating its checkbox.
Clicking a gear icon opens a window in which you can set up that Generator.
The Generator setup window:
Select one of the three Generator algorithms from the menu: Ramps, Oscillator, or Steps.
The Ramps Generator generates line segments at different speeds, directions and lengths:
Average Speed = sets the average time duration of each ramp. The actual speed is relative to the length of each ramp.
Direction = sets the direction of the ramps. Possible settings are forwards, backwards and back and forth.
Randomize = when activated, the length and direction of each ramp is set using a random algorithm.
The Oscillator Generator generates repeating patterns based on one of four different types of waveform:
"Type" menu = sets which type of waveform to use. Possible settings are Sine, Sawtooth, Triangle and Complex.
Frequency = sets the speed in Hertz at which the waveform is generated.
Note that Power must be switched ON in the main interface window for the Oscillator Generator to work.
The Steps Generator generates disjunct random values:
"Type" menu = sets which type of random algorithm to use. Possible settings are Noise and Walk.
Tempo = sets the speed in Beats Per Minute at which new values are generated.
Tempo Drunkenness = sets the overall randomness factor for the random algorithm used to generate values.
