This demo represents a point of start for the development of a game dedicated to the characters of Pokémon (copyright Nintendo) for PC.
This demo is distributed to the different Software house which, if they were interested to a development of the final game, they must provide to the payment of the royalties for the use of the characters of Pokémon.

The scheme of game is similar to that developed from Nintendo for the Game Boy, with difference that has been used a motor 3D in first person in this version.

The author is available for a complete development of this and other games, either for the graphic part (objects 3D, 2D backgrounds and textures, effects) that for the programming (3D RADs & Dark Basic).

133 MHz processor, 32 MB Ram, DirectX 6.1, Direct3D compatible video-card, Sblaster 16

Tested & Recommended :
350 MHz processor, 64 MB Ram, Creative TNT 12 MB video Ram, DirectX 7.0, Sblaster 64

The history

In this version demo you already possess Pikachu in departure, you can meet only one character (Caterpies), you can fight against it, you can go to the Pokémon Market to acquire the Pokéballs, and to the Pokémon Centre to take care of Pikachu.

The used map represents only a fourth of the global map of the final game.
For the particular zones (caves, big Pokémon Market, gyms, tower and big town), they can be use some separate routines.

The player personifies the boy Ash that, becoming Pokémon Master must fight with various characters and trainers of Pokémon, scattered in the different cities of the world of the Pokémons.

An introductory sequence should show some of the principal characters of the cartoons and the doctor Oak that deliver Pikachu to Ash, with the recommendation to take care of it and to train it.
Subsequently the player can move in the scenery to meet the varied Pokémons, to capture them and to train to make them more powerful and to create a team of fight that allows to Ash to face the traps of the game.

THE KEYS
Mouse -- rotate
Mouse Button 1 ---- Move

Spacebar -- activate/deactivate Pokédex

When the Pokédex is activated, they also activate the keys:

Cursor Up/Down--it Visualizes the known Pokémons
I (ITEM) -- it Visualizes the possessed Item ---- Cursor Up/Down -- Item selects ---- RETURN -- use Item
P (POKEMON) -- Show possessed Pokémon ---- Cursor Up/Down -- Pokémon selected for the fight (however in this demo you can be possessed only Pikachu)
F (FIGHT) -- Fight (you can be activated it when it is next to Caterpie) ---- Cursor Left/Right -- it selects the movement to use ---- RETURN --it uses the attack.
