The Neutrino main window is divided into six regions. There are four collapsable inner subpanes which display the Sources list, Visualizer, the Tracks list, and the Dials pane. Each of these inner 4 subpanes can be ‘collapsed’ to hide it from view when not needed, or expanded when changes are required.
You can open the Neutrino main window at any time by choosing View → Neutrino or by using the keyboard shortcut Cmd-0.
The two remaining permanently visible regions, the Transport Panel and the Toolbar, are discussed below.
The Transport Panel is always visible at the bottom of the Neutrino window This panel contains the main transport slider/position indicator, the loop-region slider, and displays playback data such as the current track name and remaining time.
If the track is a Core Audio format, Neutrino will attempt to generate a waveform to display in the transport region. QuickTime tracks do not display waveforms.
The Transport slider represents playback time visually, and is used to set In and Out points for Loops, and supports arbitrary Markers at user defined time stamps.
Note that the Transport slider only offers rough adjustment accuracy. For fine control, the Track Inspector offers millisecond accuracy.

The Toolbar is always visible at the very bottom of the Neutrino window. This panel contains the main playback control buttons, volume slider, and action menu button. On the left are four buttons to configure the display of subpanes. There is an Inspector button open the fine control Inspectors.

The Neutrino main window can be reduced to Mini-Player mode, which hides all the inner panels and displays only the toolbar and transport views, and optionally, the Dials panel. To toggle mini player mode, choose Mini-Player from the View menu (Cmd-Shift-0).
