DeskFun Help
Using DeskFun
DeskFun does not show up in the Dock nor does it have it's own menu bar. Instead you access the main menu by holding down the mouse button over the Drop Window for about half a second: (a control-click or a right mouse click will also work)

DeskFun Main Menu
If DeskFun is not frontmost, only the Drop Window will accept mouse clicks.
As soon as you click the Drop Window, all other windows will come to front and be highlighted so that you may move, resize or close them.
Menubar Item
Activating DeskFun's menubar item in the preferences allows you to hide the Drop Window and gives access to the main menu from the menu bar:

To add a new picture, just drag and drop an image onto the Drop Window:

DeskFun will then create a new borderless window containing your image:

Highlighted Picture
Alternatively you may choose Open Picture from the main menu.
Moving and Resizing Pictures
To resize the picture click on the resize corner and drag, to move it click anywhere else inside the window and drag:

Changing Picture Parameters
By holding down the button without moving the mouse for about half a second you open the picture's contextual menu: (a control-click or a right mouse click will also work)

Picture Menu
You can choose to display the picture either on the desktop level or floating above other windows.
Select Order Front to put a picture in front of all others or use Order Back to move it behind:

Ordering Pictures
Close will remove the picture from screen while Lock will prevent it from being accidentally moved or closed. A locked picture will display a small lock icon in the upper left corner:

Selecting Configure will open the configuration panel:

Configuration Panel
Change the transparency of any picture, adjust the animation speed for animated GIFs or choose a different picture frame.
None will remove the frame around the picture, while Choose opens the Frame Selector:

Frames
In the Frames section of the preferences window you may choose a default frame that should be applied to all new pictures:

Frames Preferences
Note that pictures with an alpha mask (i.e. pictures with transparent parts) will not have any frame applied by default.
Custom Frames
While DeskFun does ship with only a small selection of basic frames, it is possible to add you own creations. DeskFun frames are bundles with a file extension of dfframe and go inside the Frames folder in DeskFun's application support folder:

Frames Folder
You can find detailed instructions about building frames on the furrysoft website.
Compositions
Compositions are sets of pictures. Only one composition can be active at a time. You switch compositions using the corresponding menu entry. To create a new composition, open the preferences and choose Compositions:

Compositions Preferences
Note that you can't delete the active composition. You will have to switch to another one first.
